Process of an Asphalt Batch Mix Plant

The process begins with feeding different types of aggregates (such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone) into the feeder bins. These aggregates are stored and then transferred to the dryer drum for heating.

The aggregates are fed into a rotating dryer drum, where they are heated to the required temperature (around 150-160°C) using a burner. This drying process removes any moisture from the aggregates to ensure the asphalt mixture will adhere well when combined with bitumen.

After drying, the hot aggregates are passed through a vibrating screen. This separates the aggregates into different sizes based on the required specifications for the asphalt mix.
